The documentary, “African Americans: Many Rivers to Cross,” is a six-part series premiering on PBS on October 22nd, October 29th, and November 5th. Historian and Harvard University scholar Henry Louis Gates, Jr. wrote and hosts the series, which will trace the evolution of African Americans through five centuries.
