SLS Design Workshop: July 25 & 26, 2012Attendees learned to evaluate communication within and between departments, acquired skills to enhance communication, and identified specific personality factors when working in teams.

The Redesign Core Team was composed of representatives from every area in SLS as well as from across the campus. Their primary role was to communicate to their area and report back to the team.
Benchmarking Trips: September, 2012Small groups visited Long Beach City, Santa Monica, El Camino, Chaffee, Cerritos, and Hartnell Colleges to learn how they set up enrollment procedures.
Design Simulation: early October, 2012Participants created teams to design, produce, and assess “widgets.” They were given structured process, assignments and responsibilities to understand process and then to create their own.
Design Day, mid October, 2012Participants took the ideas that emerged in Design Simulation and the Benchmarking Field Trips to create a PC design for the future.
SLS Pizza Party and Enrollment Report: November, 2012Representatives met to increase communication among Admissions, Financial Aid, Counseling, Assessment and ID Card.
SLS Lunch with Dr. Bell: late November, 2012Dr. Bell met with SLS Redesign participants to shift focus to LancerPoint implementation.
